Sleeper Code

I read Sleeper Code today by Tom Sniegosgki, and it was really good. It's about Tom Lovett, a teenager with a disease that can cause him to drop off in an instance and sleep for days, called Quentins Narcolepsy. Tom soon discovers that his attacks are a cover for the other life he leads, the second half of him; a part of him that is much more sinister than he could have ever imagined. I can't really explain it anymore without out giving the entire plot line away:P.
I was somewhat hesitant about reading this book, and I thought it was a tad dumb at first. The writting feels a little awkward in some places, but I was draw in by the fascinating plot line. It has by far the coolest plot out of any book I've read. I felt that in spite of the big plot, the author still kept the characters very geniune and real, even in the crazy parts of the story. A lot of times, I like the plot of a book, and the writting is very good, but the characters aren't very belivable (which bugs me to no end!). Anyways, I put the sequel to it on hold.

So, I pretty much religiously watch this channel about Twilight on YouTube called NoMoreMarbles, and I was really mad today because the poor girl had posted a video about all the hate she's been getting through comments, emails, ect. It makes me so angry when people get nasty over the internet, and say things they wouldn't DARE say to a persons face. Some people just disgust me, and I would like to punch them right in their snobby noses. But I guess that would be mean to. Darn.
It was her birthday as well, and she was really upset, so I would love it if you would go watch the video and tell her how amazing she is.

Weelll, I have nothing else to say...
Ha, thats a first.

Going Greek.

It was so nice out today, it was agonizing sitting through class! My gym class has been going outside to practice for our school track meet, which is next week, so at least I get to enjoy the nice weather then.

NOTE: I am not an athletic person, but one gym credit is required, so I figured it would be good to get it over with before my senior years. It sucks though, because you HAVE to do three events in the Track & Field meet. I am NOT running, and I can't do any of the jumping events, as I am only 5"1 and can't really compete with someone who is like 6 feet tall. Yes. It sucks being short.
My solution?
I'm going Greek.
Yup, that's right. I signed up for javelin, discus and shot put.
I have absolutely no idea how to throw a discus, so it should be quite interesting.
Tootles!

Fiesta Moon, Blue Moon and a new haircut.

I got a new hair cut! I really like it. Its about four or five inches shorter than it was, and it is so much easier to manage!
Here's a pic.

I read some books lately, from a series about people who fall in love in under the Mexican moon. They are by Linda Windsor; there are three in the series: Fiesta Moon, Blue Moon and Paper Moon. I've read the first two, and they were pretty cute. I didn't like Fiesta Moon very much, but I read the next one anyways, and I liked it way better. They are christian fiction, which is refreshing in the sense that there isn't make out scene after make out scene.
It's getting really nice out now; time to bring out the shorts! I am so ready for summer! :0)

Twilight Interviews

Three more Twilight Videos!! Yay! eTalk got interviews from Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart.
Okay, so Rob's interview is in two parts and has bad audio quality, but that's okay because he looks so damn good, I can live without knowing what he's saying. Kristen's is really good though. She's absolutely perfect for Bella!

Edwardian Friday

Okay, so I saw the funniest video today! NoMoreMarbles, a youtuber who video blogs about Twilight, is also on another channel now, called FantasticTwiHards. She video blogs every friday there, so I checked it out today and it was so funny!!! She did a little Edward skit thingy, and it was the craziest thing ever! Take a look HERE.
I love youtube. I could spend all day on there. Haha, I have today, its a P.D. day, and I'm bored stiff. You know what the sad part is? I have a youtube account, and I don't even upload any videos. I only got it so I could leave comments on videos. I'm so pathetic.
I just found another funny one HERE, called Laughing Quadruplets. Its so cute!
Oh my goodness, I have way to much time on my hands!

New Twilight Video

There is a cool new Twilight video that is up on youtube thanks to www.edwardandbella.net. You can watch it HERE; enjoy! It is a good one!

I bought the August Rush soundtrack off iTunes; it is so good! There is such a variety of music styles. I really like the song Raise It Up. The little girl who sings in it, Jamia Simone Nash, is amazing; I was really impressed! Here's the part of the movie that features the song.

The Luxe: Elegantly Sumptuous

I was sick today, so I had tons of time to just sit around and do nothing, instead of going to my music lesson. I finished reading The Luxe by Anna Godbersen, and was really impressed by it.
This story is set in Manhattan in the year 1899. Sisters Elizabeth and Diana Holland are at the peak of the social scene when they find that this position is endangered by a decrease in their fortunes. When Elizabeth's mother commands her to find a rich husband to preserve their care-free life, she is forced to make the ultimate choice between her life of luxury and her true love. This results in two sets of starcrossed lovers and a string of jealousy in its wake. Then, Elizabeth's carriage over turns in the East River, causing the entire city to speculate over the matters surounding her untimely demise.

This book was a very interesting read, even though the first chapter starts out with one of the main characters funerals. This annoyed me at first cause it felt like the end was given at the beginning, but it made sense in the end. I liked how the story was told from several different characters perspectives. This novel had an interesting twist at the end; it wasn't much of a suprise though. I could kind if see it coming.
I didn't really understand the title, so I fed it into dictionary.com (love that site, I have to say) and this is what it gave me:
Luxe:the condition of being elegantly sumptuous. So I guess that kind if sums up this book. Elegantly sumptuous. Ahah. That makes me laugh!

Help!

I have completley run out of good books to read, so I would appreciate any suggestions. After I finish The Luxe, by Anna Godbersen, I will have nothing to read. Bla. Yes, it's depressing. On the plus side, my library got the I am Legend movie, which I want to see. I'll have to drop by sometime and grab it.

In the exciting world of Twilight, there are alot of MTV videos about Twilight out. The last one from yesterday was really good, it had an interview with Kristin and Rob in it. You can check that out on their site, or if you live outside of the U.S. (like me) you can find it on youtube.

Unwind and Twilight stuff.

I did find myself with a few spare hours this past weekend, which was a total miracle, so I read Unwind by Neal Shusterman. I've been meaning to read it for a while now, just haven't had the time.
It is set in the future in a society where abortion is not allowed, but where you can "unwind" your child between the ages of 13-18 if you don't what them for what ever reason. To unwind someone just basically means hacking them up for all they're worth; all their organs, muscles, limbs and so forth are taken and used in medical procedures for other people. So, if you lose your hand, they would replace it with the hand of an "unwind".
I know. Creepy, right?
This was created to pacify both the pro-choicers and pro-lifers during a second civil war that erupted over the issue.
The book follows the lives of three teens on the run who are scheduled to be unwound;
Connor, whose parents don't want to have to deal with his troublesome behaviour, orphaned Rita, who is being unwound to cut orphanage costs, and Levi, who was chosen at birth by his strict religious parents to be unwound "for the cause". Their only hope of surviving is to make it to their 18th birthday.

This was a great book. It was very interesting and fast paced and caught my attention right from the beginning.

Okay, so now I have some very exciting news for all my fellow Twilight fans in Canada. Chapters is having a midnight release party for Breaking Dawn! Ahh! I'm so excited! I'm going to be dragging all my Twilight-fan-friends to that for sure. You can vote HERE for what the theme should be... I'm going for the masquerade one. I could have some fun with that!
MTV also has some cast videos up, but you can't view them if you liveout side of the US. You can see one, which is a mini interview with Taylor Lautner talking about how his wig itches (haha)on NoMoreMarbles youtube channnel HERE. I have decided I like him for Jacob. He fits with what I saw of Jacob in my head. The one I couldn't see was with Emmet and Rosalie, which made me sad, cause I really like Kellan Lutz as Emmet. :(

Random Stuff

Bla, so short post since I have a gazillion things going on. I have Kiwanis (a music competition)next week AND a civics culminating AND a civics exam AND two major English projects due... *groan* I am not anywhere near ready for any of them.

Stephenie Meyer has been nominated for The 2008 Times most influencial people. She is one of the 100 finalists. You can vote for her HERE. So far, she has been rated as more influencial than Hilary Clinton... yay!
I found this really interesting book at the library that I am going to read if I ever get done The Counte of Monte Cristo for my English project. One can hope! It's called Unwind by Neal Shusterman.
