Books, books! Oh, sweet books!

Have I ever mentioned how much I like books? A lot, that's how much. I went to the book store today and realized that there are so many books I want, it's going to bankrupt me if I buy them all. I know for sure I want The Adoration of Jenna Fox and Wildwood Dancing. So I got a gift card so I can buy them on line, because it's so much cheaper that way. Plus, if you spend more than $39, the shipping is free.

I was standing in the teen section and these two girls walked by, and one of the girls had her boyfriend with her. She picked up Breaking Dawn and told her friend, "I read this in like 8 hours, it was INTENSE! I love these so much." Her boyfriend got curious and asked her what was so great about them. She said, "Edward Cullen is what is so great about them, that's what!" The look on his face was priceless. He got so jealous, and then he started whining, and saying, "Well, whats so great about HIM?" She totally started ranting about him, and he looked so annoyed, and I was trying so, so hard not to laugh. I felt bad for the poor guy.

I just watched Kate and Leopold. It was so cute! Hugh Jackman was really (REALLY) good, but the woman was kind of annoying. I can't even remember her name. Actually, the plot was kind of stupid, in an endearing way.
What I truly loved was that there was a girl named Patrice in it. I almost fell out of my chair when I heard my name. Because I have such an unusual name, I never hear it directed to someone else, so it was kind of weird. But nice, since the only real-life Patrice I know of is a male french pairs skater.

I think I kind of like having a one of a kind name. It's like that name belongs only to me, and no one else. Plus, it means I can't waste my money on cheap name jewelery.

I just finished a drawing of Arwen, as I am slipping back into my LOTR obession these days. I think that she may just have the worlds longest nose. And I drew her mouth way to far out. I just wish I had a better scanner. *sigh* It's true. Life sucks when you have a crappy scanner.

My dad's cousin is named Patrice! I have a pretty unknown name, too--it's not even on the top thousand list for the year I was born.
